Regarding the wishes and needs of the students and their level, I basically like to get a picture of the students first and then promote them in the fields where I see their biggest potential. I respect each dancer’s style and technique. Therefore, I don’t expect them to adopt my personal style, but rather try to ensure that they find their own way of expression. Due to my qualification in different techniques in oriental dance – no matter if classical, modern or experimental –, I guide my students through the process of integrating new movements and techniques into their dance repertoire by correcting and improving them using specific drills and combinations. This proved to be very helpful especially for advanced dancers who both want to extend their repertoire and take their self-created choreographies to the next level in order to enhance and polish their performances.
